You have decided to start a wine collection and everyone keeps telling you that you need a storage unit, however you not exactly sure why you need one. So try to find a place in your home that is dark and cool, a spare closet or basement work best. I don't suggest a pantry because with people constantly frequenting it, it can get more light exposure than you may realize.
When choosing a wine rack, try to purchase something that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. You will spend a lot of time and money choosing each bottle. That same dedication should go into where and how you store it.
