Most wine glass holders which call themselves 'hanging wine racks' tend to mean that the glassware is what hangs, not the rack itself. So, when they're talking about 'hanging wine racks' they aren't just meaning racks that are huge that are designed to mount above a kitchen island area.

In my own opinion, the wood racks are nicer looking than the wire racks, but the wire racks are compact and hold a lot of stemware. Wood always has a better, more esthetically pleasing feel than other materials do. There are very few Wine Glass Holders that are made with a cheap plastic construction.
