Crafty Baby Food Jars

There are so many different things you can use these jars for. They make perfect votive holders, jewelry jars, snow globes, spice jars, hair accessories holder, nuts and screw holders just to name a few.When I made jewelry jars, I hot glued big chunky beads to the bottom for legs. Other great ideas for legs would be... wine corks, marbles or small knobs from cabinets, to name a few. I took an old brooch and glued it the lid, then glued beads of similar color around the edge of the lid, to give it a finished look. If you have any mismatched jewelry, that would be perfect for this project. I made several in two different sizes.

Here are instructions for the votive holder. I personally have never burned the candles in the container, I use them for decorative purposes. I first glued tiny beads to the edge of the lid, once the glue was dry, I flipped the lid over and hot glued it to the bottom of the jar. This step is not necessary, It's up to you. You could also glue beads to the bottom for feet. I would suggest using a hot glue gun, in the event that you want to burn the candle, the glue can withstand a higher temp than any average craft glue. I glued tiny beads around the edge of the jar (this helps to mask the fact that it's a jar). I also glued beads in a flower design on the side of the jar for an extra decorative touch.

Here's how I made the snow globe. This project can be done using any size jar. You will need water proof glue (you can find water resistant glue in the plumbing department). I used my hot glue gun but you need to make sure that you apply enough to make a good seal or water could seep out. Start by applying a thick layer of glue on the inside of the jar lid, if you are using a clear glue, sprinkle white glitter on top of it before the glue dries (this is going to be the snow on the ground). You will also want to place your figures where you want them at this time. I purchased small Christmas figures from my local store. After the glue is completely dry, fill the jar with water and add white glitter (enough to make the snow effect when shaken). Twist the lid on tight and seal the outer part of the lid with glue. Wrap ribbon around the lid, covering any of the glue. Turn the jar over, and you have a cute little snow globe. These globes can be made with any other theme. A Valentine globe can be achieved by using red glitter and Valentine figures. You can make these for any occasion, use your imagination.

To use these jars for spices, just add your favorite spice to each one. You can even decorate them to match your decor. For a great spice rack, you will need a narrow piece of wood, a drill and small screw. Start by screwing holes in the lids of the jars large enough to fit the screws. Drill the same size holes in the wood, leaving about 4 inches between holes. Screw the lids of the jars to the piece of wood then attach the wood to the under part of a cabinet. Once the wood is secure, you can now screw the jars to the lids. Now you have a cute spice display and the jars aren't taking up any room. This project can be used to organize many things, jewelry, hair accessories, nuts and bolts, etc.

Using Stock Materials to Design a Custom Kitchen

You can stagger the heights by simply mounting the cabinets at different heights or you can install different sized cabinets side by side. You can also stack cabinets in unexpected ways to add interesting configurations to the doors. For example, you can add a column of short cabinets that you would normally see over the refrigerator to make what looks like a multi door single cabinet, thus adding visual interest to your cabinet faces.

You can also take this look one step further and configure two short cabinets with a shelf in between. This makes a great display shelf to break up the symmetry of a wall of cabinets.

By using molding to finish off the top of your cabinets, you can make them look like custom built-in cabinets. You can also add molding to the edge of any shelves that you install to give them a polished look.

Update the hardware on your cabinets and you complete the custom look. By finding unique drawer pulls and fun cabinet knobs, you can give your cabinets a high-end custom look. You may find knobs just about anywhere like eBay, an antique store, a flea market or a thrift shop. You may also want to check a salvage yard or a shop that recycles building materials.

1. What number of wine glasses do you intend on hanging?

It is the rapid changes in temperature that prove to help in the decrease in wine quality. For one, rapid temperature changes would allow wines to go though premature aging. Rapid temperature changes would also allow the pressure inside the bottle to vary and might damage the airtightness of the cork and allow oxygen to seep in.

Humidity

It is also important to keep wines in a room with moderate humidity. The humidity allows the cork used on the wines to stay in good condition and prevent them from shrinking and lose some of their airtight storing qualities.

A room with a relative humidity of about 50- 80 percent is within the acceptable range but 70 percent constant humidity is what is recommended. Excessive humidity would not cause any harm to the wine itself but may instead damage the labels and other paper products that come with the wine bottles. What collectors should look into is on trying to prevent humidity from getting lower than the desired range.

Gear is placed so you can find no gaps among equipment, and no food particles can accumulate on the floor or between pieces of equipment."-Bob Peterson, executive chef "This region is about 18 feet lengthy by 12 feet wide. Simply because we had to use the existing
hood room, this area is very tight.

There may be as many as four people functioning in this area, so the cooking program must be precise in every way. No 1 can cross over an additional individual."-Jim Lawrentz, kitchen designer, National Restaurant Supply, El Paso, Texas "We had some difficulty obtaining the refrigeration lines in for remote refrigeration. They had to be brought in through a back corner and run via the wall, and come out in areas that we designed into the counter exactly where electrical, refrigeration, and plumbing lines came in. As soon as the counter is set, you cannot pull it up to make adjustments. This may be the kind of main challenge I enjoy."-Jim Lawrentz.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE STYLE:
A 45-seat lounge, 60-seat covered patio, two meeting rooms (36- and 50-seat, 1 with audio visual equipment), a 25-seat wine tasting area, along with a 140-seat main dining room all were incorporated into the 10,000-square-foot room. The kitchen is 1,800 square feet. A wood-fired oven for bread baking and vegetable roasting has wood storage beneath the door. It is situated in the prep kitchen and is visible in the dining area. Glass-encased, refrigerated wine storage cabinets double as the walls of the wine tasting room.

RESULTS:
The gear investment was 5,000. Savoy Bar & Grill opened on January 5, 2007, and hosts about 2,000 clients per week. Three-month sales: 0,000.
